Park Picnic Shelter Reservations

Eastmont Metropolitan Parks & Recreation allows individuals,
groups and companies to reserve a park picnic shelter for events,
parties, gatherings and other affairs to ensure that a shelter is
vacant and available for use.
To reserve a park shelter at either Eastmont Community Park or Kenroy
Park (the only parks with picnic shelters), a reservation form is
required.
For gatherings that will exceeded 50 people, an additional "use
agreement form" must be obtained by coming into the parks office.

Picnic Shelter Reservation Policy:
Policy
adopted by Eastmont Metropolitan Parks & Recreation, October 11,
2004.
Effective: January 1, 2005
A reservation for a picnic shelter is intended to avoid conflicts.
When any shelter is not reserved, the use of any shelter shall be
on a first come first-serve basis:
- No telephone reservations will be accepted.
- Reservation fees must be paid with a completed reservation
form.
- Reservation fees area non-refundable.
- Shelter reservations may be reserved the first park department
working day of the year the reservation is requested.
- Reservations must be made at the park office.
- A reservation form must be filled out and reservation fees
must be paid the day the reservation is made.
- A minimum of one day is required for a shelter reservation.
No shelter reservations will be taken for the day of the requested
shelter use unless staff and equipment are available to prepare
the shelter. Reservations for picnic shelters on Mondays must
be made no later than the Friday prior to the Monday of the
reservation. When the Friday prior to a Monday is a holiday
the reservation must be made no later than the Thursday prior
to the Monday.
- Reservations for Saturday and Sunday must be made the Friday
prior to the Saturday or Sunday unless that Friday is a holiday.
When the Friday prior to a Saturday or Sunday is a holiday the
reservation must be made no later than the Thursday prior to
the Saturday or Sunday.
- Reservations for picnic shelters on Mondays must be made no
later than the Friday prior to the Monday of the reservation.
When the Friday prior to a Monday is a holiday the reservation
must be made no later than the Thursday prior to the Monday.
- A reserved shelter shall have a shelter reservation message
posted as to the time, date and name of the reserved user.
- The shelter must be vacated by non-reserved shelter users
one hour prior to the scheduled reservation. This is to allow
park staff time to clean and prepare the shelter.
- Picnic shelter fees shall be reviewed by the Eastmont Metropolitan
Parks & Recreation District Board annually.
