Radio Control Car Club
The Radio Control Car Club of Wenatchee (RCCCW) - formed in the
summer of 2000 - has grown rapidly in size and stature, and in the
process it transformed an area of Eastmont Community Park into the
Eastmont Radio Car Raceway, a world-class off-road racetrack.
Eastmont Community Park is located on Grant Rd. at Georgia Ave,
in East Wenatchee, WA; the raceway is adjacent to the Aquatic Center
(map).
Every spring the RCCCW holds an international competition: The RCCCW
Spring Can-AM Shoot-out, which attracts over 200 radio control car
racers from around The United States and Canada.
Another annual event held by RCCCW is the Northwest Championship
Series, which draws clubs from around the region to compete and
vie for regional champion status.
The RCCCW's races are exhilarating to watch. And the local talent
pool and competition are of the highest caliber: A US National Champion
and a Junior National Champion reside in the area.
ROAR, the official US/Canadian sanctioning body for racing radio
control cars is responsible for formulating and maintaining the
rules that govern radio control racing.
RCCCW holds its meeting at 7PM on the first Tuesday of the month
at ABBY'S Pizza, (702 Grant Road, East Wenatchee, WA - (map).
Anyone interested in joining the RCCCW, or has questions about radio
control cars, is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
